Hi, lm currently having an issue with regards to Gmail and my VPN.. basically l have 4 accounts (two of which are shared with other family members) every time l login to gmail l get asked to change my password if its done through my VPN which can be problematic.

So l was wondering if there were a way to use a third party software such as thunderbird to bypass my VPN (l use PureVPN) or a way to keep my access consistent to one point of access so when l start setting my VPN to autoconnect at bootup that l wont get asked to change my password every time l login from a different IP when l connect to the VPN.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is nothing Thunderbird can do for you. It supports proxy, which might help. But what I really suspect you need is a VPN that supports split tunnel, which many corporate VPN do not do.

my VPN does support split tunneling, but its annoying having to start up the app each time to open my browser, however l have been thinking using a proxy was the way forward.

the problem is setting up that access without spending money.. my friend does have a server which so l guess lm going to have to speak to the server tech to set up a proxy to allow such access so l can push emails through the proxy server to get around the annoyance of emails.
