Newtab
I have this problem. I am fixing my mom's laptop and tring to make it simple for her. She like the option of NewTab like I have on mine. When I tried to add the NewTab Override as an add-on, it will not work on her laptop.
The only difference she has with mine is that she is running Windows 8.1 and 32bits. I have Windows 10 and 64bits. Firefox works fine and I know you removed the option in the settigs to enter the newtab option to whatever we wanted. So now what is my option? Thanks

What do you mean by 'will not work on her laptop?' What happens?
We save the Google page as the homepage. Then I downloaded NewTab Override. Type in the url for Google.com. When we tried to open a new tab, it showed an error. Unable to open the page. I had my friend typed in where the url line: www.http://google.com. Same error message. We restarted Firefox a few times... and tried again. Same problem. How do I set a newtab to be the homepage in the new Firefox Quantum?

I think something is going wrong with your internet. If you set the homepage if you press the right key functions it should go to the homepage right away. I got google as my homepage and when I open a new tab I just click the "Homepage" icon and google pops in. What your asking about I think was removed some time back so when you open new tab it's blank til you choose the homepage to open it back. This could be a thing you should contact Mozilla about bringing back so when opening new tab it gives option to launch the homepage at the same time. Otherwise opening new tab then clicking "homepage" button to refresh the homepage on the new tab is your options currently right now.
Okay Thanks,... I will try again.
