Amazon Prime and Firefox
Hello,
Amazon Prime no longer saves my place in TV series I'm watching. If I was 15 minutes in on episode 9 of something, when I came back it would still be in the same place, even months later. Now it doesn't do that anymore, even if I come back a few minutes later.
Amazon says Amazon Prime does not work very well on Firefox, and my issue does work fine on the other browsers, but I don't want to use them if I can avoid it. Firefox works fine for Hulu and Netflix and the others. I don't have any other issues with Firefox other than this one.
Does anyone know anything about this and possibly how to make it work like it used to?
Thank you.
Firefox v. 118.0.1 64 bit Windows 11 Pro

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?
Yes thanks for the idea, I tried it in troubleshoot mode and it still does happen.
Try clearing cookies and disabling Tracking Protection for the site.
No that didn't do it either, thank you.
Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.
Thank you very much, it works perfectly in Firefox Developer Edition.
It also resets the correct episode etc. in regular Firefox, but then if I watch it there again, it doesn't hold its place anymore.
At least I can use it in Developer Edition now and don't have to use Chrome or any other browser.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
Is the video on your watchlist? If not, you need to add it.
Did you try it in release Firefox with a new profile?
Keep in mind that DE updates twice per week and is more aimed at developers that want to check out and test new developer features.
You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
