I often have multiple tabs open. Since installing the newest vers of FF, every time I go to close more than a few of them, after a couple of tabs, the window minimizes itself. Since I use multiple tabs almost ALL the time, this is VERY frustrating. I think for now I am going back to a previous version until this is fixed.

Hi

Can you give some more details, do you start Firefox with multiple tabs already set.

nope. I will open tabs for art pieces, games I play (browser based). Its not opening that is the problem, its once I am done, closing them.

I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and
add-ons were changed / reset. Try this; Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Then check ALL of your settings. Browser and add-ons. Then restart.

ok, so I started it in safe mode, and tried it. still happening. turned off hardware acceleration, still happening. its not an addon issue. I am going to a previous version for now, this is just too annoying and I cant get anything done!!

It still happens in safe mode?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
