Every time I log in to my Pay Pal A/c with Firefox, the spinning wheel appears but won't load the page, just keeps on spinning. In order to access my account I then google Pay Pal again from the same window or a new tab, click on to Pay Pal from the listings, and, hey presto, my account is open.....how weird is that!! Have read all the tips and problem solving here and tried them all ....... history, cookies, caches, settings/clearing, etc. etc......but nothing works. I'm not a wizard with plug-ins, but they are all up to date. This does not happen with Google Chrome or IE, I can log straight in. This is a nuisance as Firefox is my default browser and every time I want to make a payment through Pay Pal I have to use Google Chrome or IE. Oh, yes, I tried it on my husband's Firefox (we share a laptop but have our own separate logins) and it worked ok - also checked his settings against mine, they were the same accept one which I changed to match his but still no joy. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Found the answer at last by doing lots of reading and searching here. Apparently, I had to uncheck: warn me when websites try to redirect or reload page in Options > Advanced. Only query is when I had it checked, why didn't the 'Allow' bar at the top of the page appear!! I know other people have also queried this ever since Pay Pal changed their website/logging in process. Was going to add my question, but now, guess what, I have a new problem, when I try to ask a question from the home page and click on the Ask this green tab the question box won't load!! Ah well, never mind, I expect I'll find an answer eventually.

Hello Joanie,

any luck if you delete in your profile folder the User.js file you have ?

The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create and write in the file also).

thank you

Hi there Ideato

Thanks for your reply. Found the User.js file and deleted it but still no luck. Also went through all my plug-ins (10 of them), disabling each one in turn to test with Pay Pal but again no luck. It's strange because if I google Pay Pal again in the same window as the spinning wheel, I'm in - almost as if it's a double security thingie. If I access Pay Pal from a new window, again I'm in, but if I click back on the previous tab the wheel is still spinning! I know there are a lot of people out there who are experiencing the same problem, so to all those people, please do google Pay Pal again as described above to see if, like myself, you are indeed logged in because you will have to log out so BEWARE!!
