I used to make the search bar longer with arrows. How do I do it now?

Trying to make the search bar up top wider. Used to just resize it with arrows like any other window but it wont do it now. Would like to see the end of suggested searches instead of the first 3 words. I noticed the url bar resizes automatically, but I would rather just be able to stretch either bar where I want it and they stay there.

You should still be able to resize the search bar by placing the mouse between the location bar and the search bar in normal mode (i.e. not in customize mode) just like in previous Firefox versions.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

I was already using the default theme, and I restarted in safe mode but it still doesn't let me resize the search bar. I tried while not in customize and and when I try in customize it just shows a hand cursor for moving buttons around and there's a dotted outline around the whole address toolbar.

Well I figured it out. Chrome lets me do it.
