Hi, just switched from using Chrome, love the new Firefox 58, but one thing really bugs me, 85% of the flavicons for my book, marked (either on the menu bar or sidebar) do not show up. Visiting the website helps and shows the flavicon 1 out of evey 10 times, it usually doesn't work. And solutions to fix this? (Hoping I don't have to go back to using Chrome because of this!)

Hi

Have you an example of a page address that is not displaying a favicon that I can try here?

Yes, as you can see, many url's in my bookmark menubar & bookmark sidebar do not have flavicons, the top two on the left bookmark sidebar, Virgin & Gieco I just logged onto the site and logged off, as you can see, still no flavicons.

Favicons just may not get imported from other web browsers, but they should be getting saved in Firefox once each bookmark is used in Firefox.

And if Firefox is only saving 1 in 10 Favicons for bookmarks that you have used and the web page was fully loaded when that bookmark was used, yes that shouldn't be happening.

Try the Firefox Safe mode and see if the Favicons do get saved while in Safe Mode.

Try to rename/remove favicons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to reset the database that stores the favicons.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Neither restarting is safe mode or changing and deleting the favicons.sqlite file worked.
