Hi there, I recently refreshed my firefox browser and since then most of my addons don't work and stuck on loading.

After some inspections and opening the their console log, they all return the same errors: Unchecked lastError value: Error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

   sendMessageToTab moz-extension://0d7987e4-a999-409d-bbb5-36412076c686/content/scripts/SymBfw.js:112

the complete log of one of them (dark reader) can be found here https://pastebin.com/4tqd1A4H

I tried to refresh the browser again, and even reinstall it but the problem persist and now affect almost all of the addons installed (dark reader, adblock, norton password manager)

I get the same error log from foxy-gestures and facebook container, but they seem to work just fine and the error log doenst repeat it self every few seconds.

p.s. The browser is updated..

Chosen solution

I kind of solved it, but it was seriously frustrating I had to uninstall firefox completely, than deleting its folder in my APPDATA folder (which wasn't that easy for some reason, even system user couldn't it at first.. I had to mount this partition on another OS boot)

And only then firefox really installed itself freshly without any leftovers (I believe that the main problem was the fact that firefox reinstalled all the extensions imminently after installation).

That kinda sucks, I believe there is a problem with refreshing firefox (which doesn't allow you to skip some of the saved data) and the reinstallation (the same as refreshing)
