When trying to download a pdf file, it just hangs and locks up my computer causing me to power down. How do I fix this?

Whenever I try to download a pdf file, Firefox hangs and my only recourse is to power down and power up again. I have to use IE to get the pdf I am after.

You have two PDF "reader" plugins installed. Try disabling one of them. Tools > Addons > Plugins
