Download rates on FF seem to be limited on my laptop.

Using FF, all of my downloads seem to be limited to ~250-300 kb/s. Other computers in my house running FF download at ~1300 kb/s. Back on my laptop, if I use Chrome, download rates are normal at ~1300 kb/s. I've completely uninstalled FF (including the removal of addons and personal settings) and reinstalled a fresh version. The problem persists. Any ideas?

Additional info: speedtest.net accurately shows my internet speed (~11mbits/second) using FF and Chrome

Maybe check your security software and make sure that Firefox gets full unrestricted access to internet.

I don't run any security software (I'm just picky about where I go). I scanned my computer last night for the first time in 6 months or so with SuperAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes. The first found 22 tracking cookies and the second found nothing. I feel my laptop is pretty clean.

Thanks for the suggestion. If you got anymore just shoot them my direction.
