Firefox 48 crashes at startup if websense is installed. Right now, they aren't sure how to fix it. The hotfix was deployed to people using Firefox 47 and lower (down to 40) to detect if websense is installed, and if so, not update Firefox yet.
I wouldn't remove it.
Have you got some crash IDs please.

Thank you for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Thanks, no crash reports are listed. Firefox just locked up my notebook. Maybe a coincidence? It started fine. Then locked up (perhaps it was installing that hot fix?) Might be on my side and not an issue with Firefox. So, I suppose I need to keep that hotfix even though Websense is not installed & no Qipcap.dll or Qipcap.64 are anywhere to be found on my hard drive. I have Version 48.0.2 installed at this time.
