Since Firefox for Android updated last night (97.1.0) I now find that the navigation and status bars disappear when I'm looking at a webpage for more than a few seconds. This makes a very difficult user experience. I've tried other apps but they don't do this, which makes me think that it is a Firefox problem. Does anyone know how to make the bars stick?

Note: just in case I don't have the correct terminology for the bars, by status bar I mean the one at the top of my phone screen that shows me the time, battery percentage, notifications, etc; and by navigation bar I mean the one at the bottom of my phone screen that has the back button, home button, and app switcher. The Firefox toolbar (URL, settings menu, etc) is fine.

I just now tried this on my phone, and I do not see the problem. I'm running FF 97.1.0 on my OnePlus Nord N200 with Android 11. It might be related to either your device or your version of Android.

ughhhj frustrating in have this problem on both a 7T and 2xl , both on latest beta, and it started getting worse couple days ago. First few times i thought i was imagining things and it began some weeks ago i think. But since the last update it's much worse.

I've tried syncing or logging in versus using default profile to no avail. Uninstalling reinstalling multiple times. with extensions and without.. no luck

both my top bar is removed with the exception of the 3 dots which I'm forced to navigate with.. and since 3 button shortcut hardware keys seem to vanish too I'm effectively without any hardware keys except by:

swiping down to view the time , date, notification bar (all hidden too) reveals the aforementioned, but then i have to swipe down repeatedly until i catch a break and crawl out of the firefox cage where i finally swipe away the process..

was doing so well avoiding chrome too.

I also have this issue. Happens *only* when using Firefox, the Android navigation bar (bottom) and the status bar (top) both disappear. Only reappear when you swipe from the very bottom going up, but even then it usually takes a few tries. There is a setting in Android for this nav behavior generally, but mine is set NOT to disappear, and it does not for any other app I open. Just Firefox is making it disappear, like the others above are stating.

Same problem: Navigation bar and Status Bar not visible when using Firefox. Have to drag up from bottom of screen to make them visible, disappears after two seconds. I don't have this problem with Opera, DuckGo or Adblock Plus browsers.

I still have the problem, however I still have v 97.1.0. Is there a newer version and if so how do I update Firefox? There doesn't appear to be a way to do a manual update.
