Being blocked
I am unable to sign up for a credit card. The application form does not come up. There is the possibility that it is being blocked, perhaps by a cookie, perhaps by a security feature in the Browser. How do I turn off whatever is blocking the form from popping up?

Hi Lewis, you can try turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection. At the left end of the address bar, next to the lock, look for a shield icon. Click that to drop a panel and click the slider switch near the top to turn the feature off. See: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop.
Beyond that, of course, privacy-related add-ons could be blocking things. Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix usually provide a toolbar button to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you sometimes need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
Any improvement?
Thanks for taking the time to try and assist me.
Knowing that information might be helpful in the future, but it is not working for this credit card application form that will not appear on my screen.
I have also created "allow" exceptions for the address that I am working from, but that is not working either.
I may try shutting my machine down and "starting over." Perhaps changes I have made have not licked in.

Does it work in Safari?
Also, I've been assuming it's an online form (web form). If this is a problem with a PDF file, we could discuss possible reasons for failed downloads.
No it does not work on Safari
However, on Safari, I am able to get a little further in. But now, I get this message: We notice you may be using an ad blocker or other security application. Please disable it, then refresh the page to continue with your application.
I do not have any special security applications, and I do not know how to disable an "add blocker.
Hi Lewis, the methods I mentioned before related to tracking protection and add-ons should help clear up the ad blocker objections.
Since you are on a much older version of Firefox, it's also possible that private windows won't work with the site (in case you are using a private window) due to a bug with local data storage in private windows; I don't remember when that was fixed.
OK, I am probably going to have to give up on this one.
I do have a newer Mac with a different operating system (my portable). It may use a later version of Firefox and/or it may have better synchronization with modern-day sites.
Thanks for trying.
