did firfox just issue an update that had the letters fuck in it? I just downloaded before catching the wording
Got a screen that said I had to add an immediate firefox download update. Being a novice of sorts I did push the download and as it was downloading (I think) I noticed a designation that had something like eeyfuck??? was this legit or am I in trouble?

hello, this is probably a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! only download firefox from its official location at mozilla.org - in addition updates are handled automatically by firefox so you don't have to download anything (you can initiate a check for updates in the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > about firefox).
you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & kaspersky security scan in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.
You can report such a site at; Google Report Phishing Page {web link} which is the same when done while on site by going to Help > Report Web Forgery
Help us safeguard Mozilla’s trademarks by reporting misuse {web link}

it was like a random site like eeyahfuckbox net which has no affiliation with Mozilla in any way. This was a fake update .exe targeting inexperience Windows users in trying to trick them into installing said .exe and infecting their Windows.
All official Firefox downloads and updates for Firefox on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux are from Mozilla.org and not ever served on random sites.
