Upgraded to 4.0 beta, should I delete Firefox 3.6 entirely now?

I just upgraded to firefox 4.0 beta but I see that firefox 3.6 is still on my machine. Several of my add-ons will not work with it. The Aardvark, Adblock Plus, eHow earnings tracker, Microsoft .NET, and WOT, all are incompatible with the 4.0 beta. But when I try to reopen the old format it only comes up as the foxfire 4.0 beta. How can I change back so my add-ons will work or should I just keep the 4.0 beta and can they be made to work with it? Thank You

Firefox 4.0 beta 1 is a "tester" version of what will become the next major version of Firefox - in like 5 or 6 months. You shouldn't be using it at all unless you want to "test" it and report problems you have found.

Un-install it and use 3.6.8.

You can use the Firefox 4.0 beta version for testing, but you should always keep the regular release version as a fallback in case of problems with websites. Remember that is is a beta and that means unfinished software with know bugs and limitations and not all extensions work with it or can get broken in a next beta. Be sure to use a separate profile for that beta version to avoid profile corruption.
