I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF twice. The problem is still happening. I open up FF. A second window pops up saying I need to update my browser. That in the heck is FF??????

This is likely malware trying to trick you into install a bad update. Read and follow the steps at Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware
