I already have a list of favorite bookmarks compiled when I used earlier versions of Firefox . 

  I want to be able to keep this bookmark list displayed as I browse the internet. How can I do this

{ Ctrl + B } to open the Bookmarks Sidebar. Once it is open it should persist through shutdown and start-up until you close it.
