I have Eudora 8.0 Beta 9.

I got the error message "The folder Inbox is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room for more messages, delete any old or unwanted mail and compact the folder." My messages have been stuck on the server inbox for several days.

I emptied the Inbox.

I emptied all but a couple of the messages on the server.

I emptied the Trash.

I rightclicked "compact" on the inbox.

I deleted the Inbox files, and new ones have been regenerated.

I rebooted the computer.

I restarted Eudora.

Still getting the message, even though the inbox is empty.

This is a support forum for Thunderbird email. Not Eudora which has been unsupported since qualcomm ceased support more thana decade ago. There was a single release of Eudora OSE based on Thunderbird, but it was a single release, and obtaining a copy now is very difficult as the Thunderbird addon used is no longer available.

If you want support in moving from Eudora to Thunderbird speak up. I have gained a little knowledge on that over the years. Otherwise we can not help you with Eudora.
