I cannot see my profile pic, nor those of others, in Facebook. Someone suggested it is a Firefox problem.

About two or three weeks ago, I started not being able to view my profile pictures, and then, about a week ago, it dawned on me that I cannot see my friends' profile pics, either. I can only see the pictures they post to their sites. This is very frustrating for me! However, I've asked friends to tell me if they can see my profile pic, and yes, they can. I hope you can help me. Thanks.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

  • Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
  • Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
  • If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Thank you. I was able to rectify the problem by going into Facebook and clicking on pics that were "removed"...although I didn't do many (I think there were only one or two); whatever I did, worked. I can now see my profile pic and those of others, again. Cheers
