2 of 3 accounts stopped saving Drafts

more options

I'm using TBird 86.12.0 on a Win7 machine. I use three different email accounts. Starting yesterday, two accounts stopped saving drafts. When I close a message I'm writing, there's no prompt to "save as draft," and when I use the Save As button there's no progress box saying "saving to drafts . . . saved" -- nothing. TBird crashed twice during this period, and I can't interpret the crash reports.

I lost a letter to my family twice on account of this problem, and I run my business on one of these accounts.

My workaround is to compose on the one account that saves drafts, then switch the sender at the last minute before sending.

Advice?

I doubt it's due to a problem with the provider. Possibly caused by a security app that scans uploads, especially drafts with attachments. If you don't need to access drafts from other devices, storing them in Local Folders is probably better from a performance standpoint.

If these are IMAP accounts, are the drafts stored in an IMAP folder or Drafts on Local Folders? Check Copies & Folders in Account Settings.

All three are identical, stored in IMAP folders. Does this point to a problem with my provider at he.net?

Excellent suggestion. That works. Thank you [bows reverently]
