Why this browser keeps on crashing?? will this be ever be fixed or I should just move on to a different browser?

Every other day there's an update but the browser keeps crashing, fix the product for once so it would not crash few times every day. NO, my computer isn't the problem.

hello, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

thanks, unfortunately those are all already a few months old so they won't tell us much about the current reasons for the crashes :-/

so based on this i will only be able to give some general troubleshooting advice in regards to crashes: Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly)

in particular i'd recommend to run a full scan of your system for malware with multiple different tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & kaspersky security scan.

You can check if it helps to start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.


You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.
