How to disable pictures auto-zoom?
Since I switched from Firefox 45 to Firefox 52, the browser always zooms small pictures to make them fit the window, which makes them blurry. Previously it would only resize images that were too big and make them smaller.
Is there a way to prevent Firefox from making small pictures bigger?
(I know I can click on the picture to reduce it to its normal size, but I want this to be the default.)
Chosen solution
Oh, I found the source of the issue: the Zoom Page addon I installed at the same time as I updated to Firefox 52. The default settings of this addon cause small pictures to be zoomed to the size of the window :(.
Now everything is fine. (browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing still doesn’t seem to do anything, but it may be caused by the same or another addon…)
Thanks.

Try to set this pref to false on the about:config page:
- browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Thanks for your answer, however that setting is ignored by Firefox. I already have it set to false but images are resized anyway.
(It’s also only supposed to affect pictures that are bigger than the window according to mozillazine.)
