How do I block all forms of redirection

I would ideally like to explicitly be asked to consent to any redirection, or if not possible, at least to block redirection all together. I do not mind it possibly making most websites difficult or impossible to use. Should I for example type "gmail.com" into the address bar, I do not want to redirected to https://www.google.com/...etc, regardless of whether gmail.com contains anything besides said redirection. I would naturally also like to block any forms of redirection from within websites, say I'm using a website, and I click on something, and that either opens a new window, or loads a different website in the current window, I would like to prevent that entirely. Is this possible, and if so, how would I go by doing it?

firefox is just the Browser what the site does to redirect to another site isn't a firefox issue. You will have to contact their site Webmaster to inform them the problem your having with their site. Otherwise your going to have to get a ublocker or such to stop redirects if it stops it.
