I posted a problem, and received an email to confirm my email address. The link given would not confirm my email address
The email I received from Firefox: Before your Firefox Help question (Links in gmail go to bad address) can be seen by our support community, you need to confirm the account you just created by clicking on the link below:
I had to post the link in a new window, and the new page says: Something is wrong
We could not activate your account. Please make sure that you have clicked the correct link in your email or typed in the correct address.
Chosen solution
It sounds as if this was just a premature automated response because of some slight delay. Clearly the confirmation did go through because your post has in fact appeared on the site. I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Apparently, Kenjay is correct. I am logged in and am posting this reply. However, when clicking on the link to activate account, I still get a sorry problem message. I plan to delete the email with the link and call it good.
