How do I get Firefox page to display instead of just Google search?

Your help pages only direct me to the Awesome Bar. But there is no Awesome Bar -- or any other Firefox page details -- when I open Firefox. All I get is a plain vanilla Google search box. Help!

Since Firefox 4, the default home page is about:home . Does that one look familiar?

If not, perhaps you were using an iGoogle page. Hopefully you can find it starting from http://www.google.com/ and then check out the methods described in this article: How to set the home page | How to | Firefox Help.

Any luck?

about:home doesn't look familiar. where would that be displayed/accessed?

about:home would appear in the address bar instead of a regular URL.
