Firefox crashes on me and when I restart it it gives me the option to restore previous session. I click restore but I keep getting "new tabs" in their place.

I have been having this problem for a few days. I think it may have started after I updated to the newest version of Firefox. I am currently running 40.0.3 version. I reopen Firefox after it crashes and get the "Restore Session" page as usual. Unfortunately it hasn't been restoring my sessions correctly. It will open tabs but they are "New Tab" instead of the tabs I had open. The Restore Session page stays open but I cannot click "restore" again unless I uncheck a tab. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s).

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To it’s right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the sessionstore file(s). Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
