My clicking on an Inbox line causes the screen to split: sender-message below, mime-code above. Can I stop this?

To see what the message is, on a certain line of the Inbox, one naturally left-clicks that line with the modem. And in my case the sender's message does not fail to show up. But this message then occupies the lower half of the screen, and the upper half is occupied by the meme code - the working code for the transmission - as well as by the graphics code. The code page must be scrolled out of the way for me to read the entirety of the sender's message. Thus, every e-mail that I receive is visibly a mess, if not exactly a failure

I hope that this way of talking does prove intelligible, and I will be grateful if some experienced hand can remove the problem easily, GrahamQ
