unable to forward a received email to a list

When I want to quickly forward a received email to an address book list of contacts, only the list name appears in the 'to' field... none of the emails in the list appear... I have been able to create a 'work around' by creating a new contact, naming it as the list name and pasting the emails from an exported email list... is there a less cumbersome way to achieve the same objective, please?

Why do you want to see all the names from the list? If you send (or forward) a message to the list, the message will be sent to all the email addresses that are on the list, there's no need to replace them.

My error... sending to a list works, as expected...
