I Can't Believe How Much Firefox SUCKS Anymore

Crash & burn, crash & burn. All Firefox seems to do anymore. That is when it's not hanging and/or slow. Firefox crashes so much that I just leave Windows Task Manager running so that when Firefox crashes/hangs, I can just kill the firefox.exe process, restart it & then use restore to get back what I was doing . . . for a little while. Then rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat. Firefox USED to be the best browser, bar none. Now it's just the same 'ol crap that everyone else has. May as well go back to IE. At least I expected it from Microsoft.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

firefox has become more anti-malware strategic. but for the most part, its pretty good.

what i am thinking is that firefox may not be problematic. but instead your system is unstable in some way.
