How do I block CALACOM Null Net site which loads opening Firefox??

I have: Windows 7 Ultimate Firefox 57.0.0.6525 Avira Pro Antivirus 15.0.32.12 Avira Browser Safety 1.4.5.509

Yesterday, I downloaded Firefox Quantum and tried twice to install it but failed. Don't know why?

Today I tried to block CALACOM, a "Topic Related" Null site which had taken over the opening screen (as a tab) of Firefox. But this did not remove nor block CALACOM. I could not opt out of CALACOM. It reappears every time I open a new tab.

I have already checked and found that my Firefox opening screen has no other http sites to delete following Firefox. My opening screen target is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I scanned my computer with Avira Pro, but it found nothing negative to isolate or report

I notice complaints from other people having the same problem with the same Null site, i.e. CALACOM

Please help if you can. Grant

New tab or new window?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Can also check for malware :

Please use more than 1 scanner as each uses diff tech : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware Save your Report and google each before deleting anything as do not want to delete something you need, If need help : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/ Post in only 1 forum, then wait.
