I had a reset on my PC so I lost all apps, but now that I try to sync my bookmarks, it doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong?

When you were Logging into your Firefox Account for Sync, did you have an issue?
If so, did you reset your Firefox Account Password?
If you did you must have missed (or ignored the warning) about resetting that Password.

Sorry, "Game Over" - your Sync account was more than likely cleared of your data per what that warning message stated. The old PW held the "key" to unlock your data; a different "key" is useless - hence that warning message.

Been there, done that; but I did have a backup of all my data which was able to be restored quickly from outside of Sync. And that was when that warning message wasn't as prominent or explained "properly"; now it is more informative and easier to be read that when I had it happen to me.

I had no prompt for changing a password. The only thing I had come up before the PC reset was a profile change. I just hit default and it removed all of the bookmarks and then my PC reset.

A PC reset is far different than a reset of your Firefox Account / Sync account password. But when a "reset" is done via Windows and you lose all your applications, Sync should have worked from what many users have said in this support forum. But Sync was not intended to be used that way (on a solitary device, only), a 2nd device that still has Firefox data ON that 2nd device is needed to use Sync as it was designed to be used. One device has nothing to synchronize with or to. And Sync doesn't make for a good backup regimen.

Where did you hit default ?

Perhaps on the internal about:profilespage?
When typed in the URL bar and then hitting Enter.

If that is the case, go back in there and change back to the other (or another if you have more than 2 Profiles showing there). Beyond that I am lost, you didn't answer all my queries. AND I now wonder IF you were even logged into Sync at all or had logged into your Firefox Account to connect to Sync in a new Firefox installation or not?
