I'm running Windows XP, SP3 - keep it updated with security patches, etc. I prefer Firefox as my default browser, but can no longer load it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it. Also have received clean scans with McAfee, Windows Defender, MalwareBytes, and Ad-Aware.

I'm sorry to be off topic, but I can't find a way to post a new question. I keep trying find out asking why Firefox won't start, nor will Profile Manager nor Firefox Safe Mode.

I'd also like to know how to use this forum properly.

Thanks

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
