Under global settings, in the start-up tab, I was attempting to automate my login user registration by adding "/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password" with "password" being my actual user password to register in the first window. Ever since doing that, I get the following error: NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH: Component returned failure code: 0x80520001 (NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH) [nsIFileProtocolHandler.getFileFromURLSpec] @ <chrome://chatzilla/content/lib/js/utils.js> 1034 + QueryInterface (function) 3 lines + message (string) 'Component returned failure code: 0x80520001 (NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH) [nsIFileProtocolHandler.getFileFromURLSpec]' + result (number) 2152857601 + name (string) 'NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH' + filename (string) 'chrome://chatzilla/content/lib/js/utils.js' + lineNumber (number) 1034 + columnNumber (number) 0 + location (object) + inner (object) null + data (object) null + initialize (function) 3 lines

I then have to click Okay and then click the link again to get into the chat channel intended and manually register. Ever since then, I no longer have my Menu bar to go back and correct this. How do I get it back?

Thanks, but there's nothing in there I find that tells me how to get my Menu bar back. All of chatzilla's options are in the menu bar for any settings to be made. Without that, I have no hope of fixing what went wrong. I tried removing and reinstalling chatzilla, but that didn't work. My problem is that I lost the menu bar at the top of the chatzilla window. If I can't get that back, then I'll just have to deal with it until I'm able to buy a new machine, which I need anyhow. But being as this happened from something I did, there should be a way to undo what I did, or at least get back the menu bar.

Have you tried asking about that issue in the Chatzilla newsgroup or IRC channel?

Unless another Chatzilla user sees this thread and is able to help you, your chance of getting help here is slim. This forum really isn't intended to support the 10's of thousands of Firefox extensions that are available out there.

Is only the menu bar gone or the title bar as well?

You can try:

Or try to remove all Chatzilla sections from the localstore.rdf file.

You can also try to rename the chatzilla folder in the Firefox Profile Folder to make Chatzilla create a new folder structure.

I'm already in the channel waiting for someone to respond.

okay, I got it fixed. I entered /cmd-prefs and that got me back into preferences and I removed the string that messed me up. Now my menu bar is back. :)
