When opening Thunderbird, I lost my calendar and all events

When launching Thunderbird, my calendar and all events is missing. Email is fine. Calendar, completely gone.

On the toolbar > Tools > add-ons and select the extensions entry.

Make sure lightning is active and installed ( that is the calendar)
