My "sent" emails are being automatically deleted after 24 hrs. I want to keep them. How do I do this?

Is this a pop or imap mail account?

What size is 'Sent' folder? 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Layout' > 'select 'Folder Pane columns' Then enable the 'Size' column. see image below.

Right click on 'Sent' folder and select 'Properties' click on 'Repair folder' button click on OK select another folder and then reselect 'Sent' Did emails appear or not?

This does not appear to address the problem I am having. Is there somewhere I can I can click to keep all sent items until I choose to delete them individually, as opposed to Thunderbird automatically deleting them after 24 hrs?

My email does not have the size icon you mention in the first paragraph. But I did follow your suggestion for the second option and found a "retention policy" under which I was able to mark "don't delete any messages" under the properties. Thank you for your help.
