The app symbol has a fox wrapped around something and I want to know what it is wrapped around.

It is imagery. I think the intent was to wrap around a globe, or maybe it is just wrapped around itself. To me, I see the world that the fox is wrapped around. That is what is so neat about imagery -- it can be whatever one sees it to be.
