PDF attachments will not open (get file not found error) if using Edge to open automatically - Version 78.10
I am getting File Not Found errors whenever I try to open a PDF attachment in TB (version 78.10.2 32 bit). It appears that if you have spaces in the file name it causes a problem, similar to one discussed in older versions of TB. I changed the Action to use PDF Architect 4, and that seems to work, but would like to know how to make it work with Edge also. This is a recent problem that has just started showing up in the last few weeks. If there is a way to make this work, would you please let me know? Or if it is a bug, is there a new version coming out that addresses this? Thanks.

you can feel whatever you like, but there are two things you must be aware of. one is the problem is edge is other applications open the file correctly. The second, and probably most important is as you are using windows 10. There is no way for a consumer to prevent Windows 10 from automatically updating every month. it downloads, installs and reboots itself all without your interaction or permission.

Do you see the issue with Chrome or Firefox? If not it is probably a bug in Edge.
If I delete the action to use Edge, and then try to open one of these files using the menu that pops up and I choose PDF Architect, then it will open up. But if I go that route, and then choose Microsoft Edge, then it will also open. So it looks like the problem is when I try to have the file open automatically with Edge as the default application for opening PDFs. For now, using the pop-up menu works, and just adds one extra step, so I can definitely use it. It seems like this problem has arisen after a recent update to Thunderbird, and I do not update my Windows software, so feel like this might be a issue in Thunderbird. Thank you.
