Every time I open FF it redirects me to facebook. Every time I make changes to the home page they are not saved and it redirects to facebook. IE is not experiencing the same issue only FF. As soon as you close FF and re-open it, the changes that were made are not saved and it redirects to facebook. Please help - Thank you!

It is also possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

Thank you cor-el - However even after deleting the java script files you have referenced, the changes to the preferences, specifically the home page do not save when you close and/or re-open FF. The home page is still redirected to Facebook and changes do not save. Please let me know if you have any other input or advice. Thank you!
