In Android's default browser there is an option tô put any (youtube) embedded video in full screen mode (which calls youtube app)... in Firefox embedded videos have only pause/play option!! I've tried installing Flashplayer, but Firefox keep playing HTML5 video instead of standard flash player video.

I want a simple touch option to play embedded videos in full screen mode. Is there any way tô do it in Firefox?

Hello,

In desktops you right click button mouse on video and click on Full Screen, on Android i think a long tap open the context menu with the full screen as an option.

It is possible for the website to provide a fullscreen button on the video. If they have not you should be able to long press on the video and select full screen.

What specific site are you having issues with?

I could list may sites, actually it happens to any embedded YouTube video. But as example: http://blog.animamundi.com.br/danny-boy-animacao-polonesa-em-stop-motion-traz-o-amor-de-um-poeta/ And it's not only for youtube videos.

Long press on the video doesn't give me the option for full screen. Copy video url, copy embedded html, nerd stats, about html5 player, etc. No full screen. =/

Youtube blocks the default actions for their videos. Sadly this is mostly YouTube's fault but the experience totally sucks for our users.

Right now one would need to go through the rather complicated steps of long tapping on the video, select copy video url, long press the text and then press copy button, open that url in a tab, which would then open the video in the YouTube app which can fullscreen.

The other option might be to change the user agent you are browsing with. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/desktop-by-default/ or https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/phony/

I did poke at an older bug for adding a fullscreen control to our default player.

I have this problem as well, and I must admit it is the only thing I'm waiting to be fixed before I can switch to Firefox. In my case, the Youtube videos won't even work on Youtube's mobile website (I do not use the YouTube app). Therefore, the only YouTube videos I can watch are embedded ones and I cannot make them fullscreen. This is a major issue considering the numbers of videos hosted by Youtube...

I found a workaround by installing add on "youtube embed2link" then you only need to assign to youtube app.

My tablet also has "Desktop by default" and "Clean Quit"

Sad thing is, people having this problem for long time, 4 questions about the same toppic but all archived unsolved.
