HELP!! QUICK!! I may have a BAD update download.
I got a gray and whote pop-up on my computer a little while ago that said I needed to install the Firefox 33.0.3 update "as soon as possible". I clicked on it but then aborted almost immediately. I still have an "update waiting to be applied" as soon as I close Firefox.
However, I remembered that I had gotten Firefox update notices from C/Net recently, but will never again trust anything but downloads directly from Mozilla.org due to a previous problem. Hence I aborted the download.
When I went to mozilla.org downloads It told me that I already "have the latest version" of Firefox. I am running 33.0.2.
Help! Is the gray and white pop-up really from Mozilla or could it be some kind of spoofware? I do have automatic updates enabled.

Hello,
The latest version is 33.0.3, so it may have been a legitimate message. However, it is always safer not to trust a dialog that pops up without your interaction.
Assuming your computer isn't infected with malware, a safe way to update is to go to:
- Help (or > ) > About Firefox
Or download a new copy at:
- (stub installer) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
- (for different localizations/full installer) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
