I always use Firefox. Ebay is not functioning properly on Firefox. It does function properly on I.E.

I thought I had an Ebay problem using Firefox, but as I said, it works fine on I.E. on my computer. Ebay on Firefox never completely loads - the spinning circle that indicates loading never stops spinning. And on My Ebay, my personal watch, purchase, and selling lists are not current with Firefox. They are all current using I.E. If there is no fix for this, I assume my Firefox program is corrupted. If so, I assume I have to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. I have many Bookmarks and many website icons on my Boodmarks toolbar that I would like to restore automatically if I have to reinstall Firefox. Please advise. Thank you.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache

Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.

Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) Remove your ebay cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

This will display a dialog showing cookies for ebay.com. After removing those, change the search box at the top to say just ebay and see whether you find any cookies on related sites, such as ebaystatic. Remove those as well.

Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Does that help?

I have been unable to use eBay's Checkout service using a copy of Firefox downloaded yesterday. Worked fine on Internet Explorer but with Firefox I just got into a loop of being asked to pay with PayPal and when I clicked on the link, was sent to my PayPal account, which told me to use eBay checkout. Very strange.

Running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
