For a couple weeks or so firefox has been slow and laggy for me. I have tried numerous things, to include using the refresh feature. My task manager isn't showing an unusual amount of activity that would be slowing down the computer as a whole, and the problem appears to be limited to firefox. In paticular, one thing that I've noticed alongside the laggyness(both before and after the refresh) is that there is a strange phenomena where periodically(several times an hour), I will notice a popup window appear and then immediately close. This happens near instantly, within a fraction of a second. The window appears blank, with nothing loaded. This insta-closing window is not displayed in my history whatsoever. This also only seems to happen when I have firefox open, even if all the windows are minimized and I'm using another program(I believe it's been force minimizing my steam games out of fullscreen). I've run bitdefender a couple times and I'm not showing any viruses and whatnot, for whatever that's worth. Does anyone here familiar with firefox have any idea what's up with the insta-closing window, and if so, is it related to laggyness?
