Since updating to Firefox 60.0.1 I can no longer set Firefox to use a custom page as my homepage. I set it up and hae tried saving the custom homepage (and closing firefox) in multiple ways, but when next open Firefox it reverts to default blank page. Any suggestions?

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Thanks. I have read the support forums and saw this as a response. I don’t have ASC on any of my computers so that’s now the issue in my case. My problem developed (on on both a network PC and a Mac at home) immediately upon the updating of Firefox so it appears the issue is with the update not with some other app on one of my computers.

Hi, for the Mac : please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st:

then

Or bring in a new install from same URL below

For Windows : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 61.0.1 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks. I tried the recommended Mac solution previously and it didn't work. Tried it again just now and unfortunately got the same result - not fixed. Thanks though. Is any one else having this issue?
