Does anyone at Mozilla use mlb.com? There has been a chronic problem since opening day where if you check scores for a 2ND game it forces you to the top.
There are multiple issues with Firefox and mlb.com. Since opening day. When you are checking scores and stats from each game Firefox forces the view to the top of the screen. When you load the scores page it works fine with the first game, but any others it forces you to the top of the page after 5 seconds. This has been going on since April. There are other quirks too related to mlb.com. That is why I was surprised there were no baseball fans in Mozilla!

Interesting, I also frequent mlb.com (Go Orioles, even though we're really bad this year). I haven't seen this issue. Can you try following the below directions and clearing your cookies and cache to see if this works?
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- (Firefox 57 and above) Click the Library button and choose History.
(Click the menu button and choose History in older Firefox versions.) - In the History menu, choose "Clear Recent History...".
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the "Clear Now" button.
Further information can be found in the Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
I've done that. This is only a Firefox issue as Chrome etc do not do this.
Hi dUdE, that's weird. The site seems to desperately want to keep the box score bar in my view. The page isn't stable unless the little frame around the game I'm viewing is at the top of the screen. I have no idea why this behavior only starts on the second game I check.
The simplest workaround is to reload the page (Ctrl+r). Then it's like the first game you loaded where your scroll position sticks wherever you put it.

For me it is even worse on Chrome: if I scroll down past the bar, it not only jumps up to show the bar, it goes all the way to the top and shows the ad. I don't run any ad blockers in Chrome, so that might explain the difference between our experiences.

Thanks for responding. I understand about the refresh (F5) etc but this is a problem that just started this year. So it's gotta be a Mozilla problem.

So again does anyone who programs for Mozilla follow baseball? Surely they must have experienced this same program (plus a few other quirks).
Support forum volunteers can't take a survey of Mozilla employees to see who might use mlb.com for their baseball info.
Many websites do annoying things that browsers don't prevent. What are the other quirks?
When you are reading articles and you grab the scroll shuttle to go to the top of the page it stops you from going to the top where the subject options are (scores, standings, etc). So then you have to grab the scroll shuttle again to complete the journey. I'll think of more as it happens each day!

When you are watching the game in full screen mode and it comes back from commercial the time bar on the bottom et al does not go away.
Can you send a screenshot of what you are referring to?
I'm curious trying to recreate this and I'm not able to.
Yes. I'll get them the next few days.
