Try to reset the babylon prefs on the about:config page.

• Open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for babylon via the Search bar at the top of the about:config page.
  
• Reset all babylon related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.

You can fix this in 1 minute by downloading the AddOn: Tab Utilities 1.1.4 , then you just change the start page for new tab. Save and the issue is sorted !

Hello, i'll teach you how:

1. First, at the web address, go to about:config
2. When a warning shows up, just hit "I'll be careful, I promise!"
3. Then at the search bar, just type this - browser.newtab.url
4. Just right click on the result, and hit "Reset"

How to stop Babylon appearing in new tab opening in Firefox If theres any way to pi$$ people off thats stick overriding things like Babylon search engine or open babylon in a new tab. Its just painful. Much appreciated for this tip mate.

had another issue where i followed the instructions but its still opening up in the bloody babylon tab!! arghhhhhhhh .. im going back to chrome if this persists.
