Will all my current add-ons be preserved if I install Quantum or will I have to re-install each one of them?

I'm considering upgrading to Quantum but want to know before I do whether or not my current add-ons will still be functioning after the upgrade is complete or will I have to re-load each of them? (Add-ons in question are: "save to pocket", "display progress of downloads", "ghostery","uBlock Origin", "screenshots", "lightbeam")

I did not know Ver 57 IS Quantum. I just discovered that a few minutes ago. After posting my reply to you, I clicked on "About" in Help (in Firefox 56) and as soon as I did it started downloading 57 and did the update. Now I have Quantum! I also still have "Lightbeam" as well as Ghostery and uBlock. If I start having problems with Quantum I'll follow your recommendation to delete it and do a fresh install. Thanks for your help.

ghostery","uBlock Origin is fine, there is a built in screen shot program in 57 accessible from the 3 dots in the address bar.

Pocket is gone. progress of ongoing downloads has always been built in though the icon is now hidden when not in use. Never heard of a Extension. I believe lightbeam is fine as there is no warning on their page.

How about this instead of a update : Uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Pkshadow - this partially answers my question but also created a new question. It looks like you're saying only Ghostery and uBlock would still be working in Quantum. Then you recommend instead of upgrading to Quantum I should just install Ver.57 after running disk cleanup. What has upgrading to 57 got to do with Quantum? I don't have any problems with Firefox now so don't understand why you recommended doing this. Please explain. Thanks.

57 is Firefox 57 Quantum Same thing.

I recommended that instead of updating. Nothing like a fresh install, considering all the issues I am seeing. Usually about 20 questions going at any time, crossing 170 now. So I have/had my reason to suggest that. Why would you update when you can install fresh and your profile is saved and active as soon as open Firefox and your extensions will be there also.

But do as you wish as it is yours to play...
