The 'top sites' area more often than not carries a letter in a colored square rather than an icon from the website. (see attachment)

Some sites manage to display their logo, others just the first letter of the domain.

Is there specific meta to achieve this?

FF for iOS version 28.2 (2470)

Many thanks,

Steve

Sorry, can't seem to edit my original post.

  • The bookmarks area correctly shows the favicon for each of the sites shown here in 'top sites'
  • The post is also a question from a coding perspective - ie is there special meta such as a special 'link rel' etc to place in the page code to populate the top sites 'icon'

Thanks,

S
