Every time I open the app, it starts a new window/tab in lieu of opening to the last window/tab used. This is something that has started since the last update to version 37. Is there a way to disable this?

If you look in “What’s New” this is supposed to be a feature. Frankly, I don’t want Firefox deciding for me what tab to open. I expect it to open the last tab I was using, not to autonomously decide that I really would prefer to open a new one. At the very least, if this “feature” is to persist, it should be optional and possible to defeat.

Go to Settings > About Firefox > Tap 5 Times > Debug: Toggle Start at Home: ON

I found the above workaround in another thread, works flawlessly.

Was so annoying, I ended up with 25+open tabs before I realized they opened automatically every time I launched Firefox in ios.

Binky, You are a goddess! Thanks for this tip. It has saved what little sanity I have left. Who could ever have asked for this “feature”? And why wasn’t the toggle for it available as a normal setting? I wonder if we will have to reset it from now on every time a new version is released. Thank you!
