You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for babylon via the Filter at the top of that page.
You can reset all babylon related prefs via the right-click context menu to their default values.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Getting rid of Babylon is easy. Just follow these steps:

1. click start - go to control panel- go to add or remove - scroll down the menu until you find Babylon then uninstalled. Once its uninstall close the control panel.
2. At the very top of your screen you will see tools - click on that - go to add-ons - scroll down until you find babylon - click uninstall. By doing this it will ask you to restart your browser again. Do it and babylon will be gone from your system completely

i have tried eveything that has been sugested including the about:config and i cannot get rid of babylon search engine,
