Hi. I have two profiles in firefox: "default" and "code". One is used for my usual surfing, and "code" is used when I'm programming. Sometimes I want to have they both opened. And there I have some problem, because, for example, when I run "firefox -P code", and then I run "firefox -P default", it's not opening new "default" window, but new "code" window. I don't know why firefox is behaving like this. That's why I am running it by "firefox -P default -no-remote", but "-no-remote" has it's obvious drawbacks.

Is there a way, to for example tell firefox to behave like this: 1. Always run default profile. 2. Unless I will specify it with "-P code", then run new window with code profile.

Is it possible? Or any other solution, due to which I will not have to use "-no-remote" option when opening new window?

Maybe always start the default profile first and use the code profile with the -no-remote switch.

You can then have the default profile selected in the Profile Manager and have a tick in the "Don't ask..." check-box.
That will make Firefox use this profile by default (i.e. starting by clicking a link and Firefox isn't running).

I am trying to do so, but I hoped that there exists better solution.
